Year 8 student, Olivia Barnes, has been announced as a finalist in the Woodard Young Musician of the Year competition which will be held in London in May.

Nine students submitted recordings of them playing pieces on a variety of instruments, all of which were all of an extremely high standard, however, Olivia's performance on violin was shortlisted by the judges.

Olivia will travel to London over the Bank Holiday weekend to perform Faure's Sicilienne and we wish her all the very best.
