School Celebrates Excellent A Level Results with 100% Pass Rate

Delighted students heard today that they had passed all of their A Level examinations.

Delighted students heard today that they had passed all of their A Level examinations.  The School has now achieved a 100% pass rate for seven of the last eight years.

The number of top grades rose by 5% from last year, with 28% being at A* or A.  In addition, the A* - C percentage of 82% shows a very pleasing 10% improvement on last year.

Three students, Niamh Khosla, Abigail Slater and Charlotte Hayes gained places to study Medicine at Nottingham and Sheffield.  Rachel Senior gained straight As and will be reading English at St Andrews.  Rachel’s A Level grades were further enhanced by an A* in her Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).  This highly valued optional qualification is gaining importance in today’s competitive university application process and results at The Peterborough School were exceptional with half of grades being at A or A*.

Headmaster, Adrian Meadows, was delighted with the results and particularly pleased with the top end grade improvements, saying:  “top grades in the academically rigorous subjects which students here study are very difficult to achieve and I am so pleased that the students’ hard work has been rewarded.  To achieve a 100% pass rate over so many years is outstanding and I offer huge congratulations to them all”.
