British Science Association CREST Award Winners
Four students have recently gained their British Science Association CREST Awards.
CREST Awards introduce students to project work which empowers them to work like real scientists, technologists, engineers or mathematicians. Students choose their own topic and methodologies to gain the Awards, giving them complete freedom over their work.
Bronze involves 10 hours' project work with a final report and presentation, whereas Silver requires 30 hours' project work and also a final report and presentation.
Matthew Carr in Year 9 recently won a Bronze Award for his 'Mission Starlight' project and Mimi Rutter, Annabel Churcher and Saranya Das in the Lower Sixth all gained Silver Awards for their project, 'Autolock'. Gaining these prestigious Awards are excellent achievements and the school congratulates everyone on their success.
