Netballers Put Through Their Paces With Super League's Manchester Thunder
43 girls enjoyed a weekend of intensive training with Netball Super League side, Manchester Thunder
43 pupils and 3 staff travelled to Manchester for a weekend of intensive training with the Super League Netball Team 'Manchester Thunder' hosted by their players and coaches.
Our girls, ranging from Years 7-11 were put through their paces by Thunder Head Coach Paul, Thunder Junior Coach and Training Partner, Ellie and 1st team players Liana, Kerry and Paige. The Netball Training and Strength and Conditioning was incredible and we were very fortunate to have experienced Super League standard netball.
As well as the netball, the tourists enjoyed a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre, an evening of bowling, some Halloween team games and a busy Match Day against some of the country's strongest teams. On the way home we had a brief awards ceremony where we celebrated the achievements of our players.
Well done to all the girls who took part; all were a great credit to the school and a pleasure to spend the weekend with. We are looking forward to seeing everyone use their new skills and tactics in future games.
