Head of sixth form

Full-Time, Permanent

Start Date: 1st September 2025

The Peterborough School is seeking to appoint an ambitious, well-qualified and inspirational individual to join our team from September 2025 as our new Head of Sixth Form.  The successful candidate will work as a key academic and pastoral lead within the School, with critical importance for securing the excellent progress and wellbeing of all  Sixth Form students.  The new Head of Sixth Form will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and be instrumental in the future development of our Sixth Form.  The role would ideally suit an individual looking to make their mark and work towards further promotion in the future.  The ability to teach within the Humanities Faculty could be an advantage.

Teacher of History

Full-Time or Part-Time, Permanent

Start Date: 1st September 2025

The Peterborough School is seeking to appoint an ambitious, well-qualified and inspirational individual to join our team from September 2025.  The successful candidate will join a dynamic Humanities faculty who are all passionate about their subject.  Our high-quality teaching achieves excellent results and motivates our students to take part with enthusiasm. History is a popular subject taught at A-Level within the Senior School and the successful candidate will be expected to teach to this level.  The post would be suitable for a recently qualified teacher.  The ability to teach other humanities would be an advantage.  The School welcomes applications from candidates seeking either part-time or full-time working.

Nursery

Childcare Practitioner

Full-Time, Permanent

Immediate Start

We are seeking to appoint a qualified and inspirational Childcare Practitioner to join our Nursery.  The appointed person will have the ability to work alongside an excellent team of dedicated staff to provide high quality care and a stimulating educational environment for children under 5 years of age.  The Nursery stands in a beautiful setting within the School site.  We have an excellent reputation and we continue to go from strength to strength. 

We offer an attractive salary and benefits package, which includes free, onsite, parking and superb complimentary lunches every day. 

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, have a childcare qualification up to Level 3 or above and relevant experience within an Early Years setting. We offer a competitive remuneration package in excellent, friendly, working conditions, including free uniform and subsidised meals. Many of our staff have been trained to degree level whilst in our employment and additional training is offered in First Aid and Safeguarding.
