Valerie Hetzel
–
Former Staff Member
It is with great sadness we report the
death of Mrs Valerie Hetzel who died
on the 14th February 2015 after a
debilitating illness.
I first met Val in 1976 when she and
her family moved to Glinton. I was
then teaching at Glinton Primary
School and she taught History at
AMVC. We became colleagues in
1985 when she joined school to teach
History and Geography until 1994. After retiring Val and Kurt enjoyed travel to India,
China, Cuba and Europe. She was also a keen amateur artist producing some lovely
watercolours. Our thoughts are with her husband Kurt, children and grandchildren at this
time. She is sadly missed by all her friends.
RIP Val.
