PAMELA EVANS (WEST) – Class of 1950
I have had some lovely years in Dorset but decided the
time had come for me to be near my nephew Julian
and his wife and nine year old great-nephew, who is
an absolute delight. I have recently had a knee
replacement which is proving more difficult to recover
from than my previous one. I really enjoy getting the
Westwoodians’ Newsletter and have been looking
through photos etc. and see that the last time I visited
was the 50th Anniversary in 1989 when we presented
a long case clock which was put in the entrance hall
above the mantle place.
(Pamela – it is still there!).
Living a bit nearer to Peterborough now, who knows, I
might be able to make a visit one day. Wow – what
changes I would see! I was at Westwood House from
1944-1950 and loved it. I also returned as Assistant
Matron – that didn’t work quite well as Mrs Belgion
forgot I was a member of staff at times! I continued
being a Matron in various schools until I married.
