Westwoodians’ Reunion 2015
A wonderful afternoon was enjoyed at the 2015
Westwoodians’ Reunion on Saturday 6th June.
The afternoon began with happy greetings
between past and present members of
staff and pupils, with the class of 2010 being
the special guests. This was followed by a
game of rounders, in which the former staff
and pupils were convincingly beaten by the
present members of staff, although the
inclusion of former PE staff and a few
pupils’ partners made the game slightly
more even!
After the fun and reminiscing of previous
school sporting events, delicious cream teas
and Pimms were served by Zana Clark and Liz
Darley. A presentation of flowers was also
made to Margaret Hope who announced she
would be standing down as Chairman and she
will be taking up the Vice Chair’s role. The
afternoon ended with a raffle and ever popular
School tours. It was interesting to hear former
pupils’ recollections of how the School used
to be and the memories of School days even
though School buildings and uses have
changed over the years. The tours provoked
many happy memories of former pupils’
School days.
